It all started with a set of ugly blinds and 1 question!

Was there someone hung in the school house?

So we turned to the Alumni for our answers...

Betty Wennihan came to our classroom and shared her wealth of information

about our town and the history of our school

With the help of the Fairfax Forum staff member, Tammy Sl y we got an answer...

And in the meantime, we decided to interview folks,

from our hometown, who might have other information to share .

We took a field trip to Gary and Betty Wennihan's farm to see

a piece of our town's history!

The old CampWagon built by Harmon H. Harmes in 1916

for camping, fishing, and hunting trips by the family and

that was stored in town Fairfax, at Fred Harmes' house for years

Now stored at Betty and Gary's for family and friends to enjoy!

The camp wagon that looked like a plain ol' box on the outside was an RV of the 1900's

Betty shared and shared information and even tested our scavenger hunting abilities!

Randall Sly school bus drive donated his time to take us out....

But ,he had memories of this old wagon himself.

We laughed and learned at the same time .....in the kitchen....

Laundry room....

The diningroom .....

Bedroom ....

Even in the storage space .....

Where the full length ladder was stored for use, and in perfect shape!

Then we took all the information back to class and decided to decorate the ugly window shades ,

With an unbelieveable amount of information.

But we won't show you that now - you have to drop by the school and see our work,

in the Jr. High English classroom ( for you old folks - the old Business classroom) on third floor.

We had a blast putting it together - working with the community -

THANKS TO YOU ALL!
